NLA Mission Statement

The National Limousine Association exists to promote and protect the international, national and regional interests of chauffeured transportation.

It is dedicated to informing, educating and professionalizing its members – chauffeured transportation operators, suppliers, manufacturers, local/state/regional associations – to ensure the continued growth, development and prosperity of their own organizations and the entire chauffeured transportation industry.

Creed of the NLA

Since 1985, the National Limousine Association has committed itself to representing every one of its members.

The industry has always shown an incredible diversity, and it is this diversity that provides its greatest strength.

The NLA will continue to inform, educate and advocate for its members, as well as provide the greatest level of benefit possible, while providing value for all – regardless of color, creed, gender or identity – as it has for the last four decades.

As a member-led, non-profit, volunteer organization, its pledge, promise and obligation is bound to the best interests of

its membership, and its representation to the industry and the general public.

The National Limousine Association is a non-profit organization responsible for and dedicated to representing the interests of the private driver transportation industry at the global, national, state, and local level. It is the unified voice of this industry - linking transportation industry professionals from owners and operators to suppliers, manufacturers, regional and state limousine associations. With more than 1,100 NLA members, the Association is committed to exceeding expectations with regards to professionalism, transportation efficiency, and safe riding.

NLA membership is comprised of the following member types*:

  • Limousine Company Operators - This category is exclusively for the owners of limousine companies.
  • Suppliers and ManufacturersLimousine suppliers and  manufacturers/coach builders/networks may join the NLA as associate members.
  • State and Regional Associations State and regional limousine associations may join the NLA as association members.

There are so many reasons to become a member of the National Limousine Association. The NLA is the only international association serving the luxury chauffeured ground transportation industry. Membership confirms you stand with the very best in the profession.

NLA membership unites peers in a powerful way. By pooling the resources and knowledge of thousands of operators from around the world, the National Limousine Association is able to accomplish goals far beyond the scope of any single limousine company. The inclusion of suppliers and manufacturers who support operator interests as associate members provides additional expertise and greater empowerment. Working together, NLA members continue to redefine professionalism and improve the industry every day.

At their October 6, 2009 meeting, the NLA Board of Directors approved five new policy statements prepared by NLA legal counsel Michael Morrone of Keller and Heckman LLP.  The statements include:

The statements were prepared to comply with new Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requests for non-profit organizations.
