The NLA calls all U.S. operators' attention to the “Wage and Hour Law Primer for the Chauffeured Transportation Industry” prepared by NLA general counsel Keller and Heckman LLP in Washington DC. It contains the attorneys’ explanation of various operating models for chauffeured car companies in the U.S. The primer is a guide intended to provide basic information about the general requirements of federal wage and hour laws and the responsibility of employers to properly classify workers. It was written to be a quick reference to federal law and neither addresss state wage and hour laws nor is a comprehensive or exhaustive description of all the laws with which employers must comply
