2020 NLA Board Election Results Announced

The 2020 NLA Board of Directors Election closed on December 4, 2019 at 3:00 PM EST. There were six seats up for election this year, with five being three-year terms and one being a one-year term (due to a vacancy on the current NLA Board).

 

The results are as follows:

  • At Large: Matt Assolin (Nikko's Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation, Houston, TX)
  • Central Region: Ken Carter (Aadvanced Limousines, Indianapolis, IN)
  • Northeast Region: Douglas Schwartz (Executive Limousine, West Babylon, NY)
  • Northeast Region*: Jay Erlich (Europe Limousine Service, Paramus, NJ)
  • Southeast Region: Rick Versace (A1A Airport & Limousine Service, Boca Raton, FL)
  • West Region: Gary Buffo (Pure Luxury Transportation, Petaluma, CA)

*Jay Erlich will serve in a 1-year term for the Northeast Region.

This will be the fourth term for Buffo who currently serves as NLA President. "I am honored and humbled to have been elected to serve my fourth term. There is a lot of work to do in the coming year and our Board will be tasked with some of the most important decisions ever made in it's 35-year history. We welcome all new and incumbent Board members," shared Buffo. This will be the third term for Schwartz and second term for Versace.

 

Assolin, Carter, and Erlich all join the NLA Board for their first terms. “I am thrilled to have been elected as a Board member with the NLA. It is my goal to be a voice for all operators and continue to take strides everyday in making this industry and its operators better. Looking forward to getting the ball rolling and thank you to all who afforded me this opportunity," said Erlich. 

 

“I am beyond excited that my peers elected me to serve and represent their interests across the nation. It’s an honor to join the prestigious members that currently serve on the Board and I am ready to get to work!" stated Assolin of his new appointment to the NLA Board. Carter also shared his elation about being elected to the Board when he shared, "I'm excited to be on this journey and make a positive impact and contribute wherever I can."

 

The newly-elected Directors will take their seats at the Board of Directors Meeting on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the new CD/NLA Show in Las Vegas.
