The NLA joined U.S. Travel Association and several other travel and hospitality associations for "Industry Guidance for Promoting the Health and Safety of all Travelers."

As the United States moves into the next phase of the response to COVID-19, the NLA is proud to join hotels, resorts, airports, arlines, attractions, restaurants, and more to reach an agreement on a core set of health and safety guidance that the travel industry may adapt to their businesses. This guidance was developed based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and White House guidelines: “Opening Up America Again“ and in consultation with public health experts.

This guidance reflects how seriously the travel industry we take COVID-19 and the promotion of the health and safety of customers and employees. Travel industry guidance may change and evolve as the country moves through different stages of reopening, as the science and data become clearer, and as the known efficacy of certain practices progress.
